This picture-perfect tripod trellis is so easy to set up. First, connect the three eyelet hooks at the top with the quick link (included.) Then adjust the legs to the desired width apart and set them a few inches into the soil.
Finally, thread twine through the eye hooks on the sides of each leg, tie at one end, and voila! You have a sturdy, beautiful trellis that sets up faster than a polaroid anywhere in the garden.
The six-foot version is ample enough for most vining vegetables and flowers. The four-foot version makes an excellent support for bush habit beans, or smaller vining flowers like Black-eyed Susans and Nasturtiums.
In the fall, take-down and storage is just as easy. Simply cut off the twine and compost it along with the leaves and vines. Remove the quick link on the top, and store with the legs together.
